How to Add Geofeed to LACNIC — Step-by-Step Guide

Adding Geofeed to LACNIC

LACNIC (Latin America and Caribbean Network Information Centre) supports geofeed through the remarks: attribute on inetnum and inet6num objects in the LACNIC database.

Prerequisites

  • A LACNIC MiLACNIC account with authority over the relevant IP object
  • A geofeed CSV file hosted on a publicly accessible HTTPS URL

Step 1: Log In to MiLACNIC

  1. Go to MiLACNIC
  2. Log in with your credentials
  3. Navigate to your IP resources

Step 2: Edit Your Object

  1. Find the inetnum or inet6num object for your prefix
  2. Click to edit the object

Step 3: Add Geofeed Remark

Add the following to the remarks field:

remarks:    Geofeed https://yourdomain.com/.well-known/geofeed.csv

You can also add the country attribute if not already present:

country:    BR

Step 4: Submit and Verify

  1. Submit the changes
  2. Verify via LACNIC Whois
  3. Allow 24-72 hours for propagation
